This small member of our well-known citrus family has a long history in its sub-tropical home of origin. The Key Lime tree grows to be moderately-sized and bushy and the leaves are distinctively aromatic when crushed. The white flowers are most notable for their creamy, delicate, tropical fragrance. The fruits are small, approximately one and one-half inches in diameter, and almost round, with a thin, smooth, greenish-yellow rind at maturity that is especially fragrant.
